A Little About Bob Clarke
Hi, I’m Bob Clarke, and I wrote this bio for a couple of reasons. The main reason is so you can get to know me. Why? Well, the only emails I look forward to getting are from people I feel I know personally.
Because there’s nothing worse than strangers slamming your inbox!
Let’s face it information alone is not going to help you succeed using NLP. Why? Because the fact is, there’s far too much of it. So besides getting information, you need to be able to get the right information, that’s right for you, from the right source. From a reliable source.
In other words from …
Me! Bob Clarke
What I discovered was that when I would get on someone’s email list, I’d usually end up unsubscribing simply because I didn’t trust their information … or them! To me, they were nothing more than a name in my inbox.
Who was this person on the other end? What did they stand for, and what were they against? Why are they in NLP? What’s their story?
With that in mind let me share a little bit about myself, so I’m not just another name in your inbox. And you can look forward to getting emails from Bob Clarke.
I am doing this because I truly believe I have the techniques, strategies, and processes that can change your life, and I am going to do everything in my power to get you to read about them, and more importantly … Act on them!
I got into NLP – neuro linguistic programming – in 1990. For the prior five years I had been selling Real Estate, working long hours trying to provide for my family, but the more hours I worked, the less I got to be with my family. Now there was no family.
Here Is How I Got Into NLP …
It was a Friday evening, and I was heading home after a late meeting with a client when a strange thing happened. I was nearing the exit to the bridge spanning the harbor when I got the notion to turn left instead of veering right toward my empty apartment.
I say it was a notion, but it was more like my inner voice saying, ‘Turn Left.’
There was absolutely no reason to turn left. I knew the area well, it was mostly commercial, and at this time of night, most businesses were closed.
But I listened to my inner voice and turned left onto Lady Hammond Rd.
I drove up the empty street until I saw an open business; it was a car dealership. I pulled into the parking lot and went inside where a salesman greeted me with a shout across the showroom, “Can I help you”?
No, I shouted back … and left!
It didn’t feel right!?
I drove up the street a bit further, another car dealership, I pulled into the parking lot and went inside. Again the salesman greeted me with a shout across the showroom floor, “Can I help you”?
This time, I recognized the salesman from years ago in a stereo store I bought from, his name was Ralph. “Not sure Ralph,” I answered back. We shook hands in greeting.
For whatever reason, I started to tell Ralph of the strange events leading up my visit in his showroom. As I spoke, Ralph was digging a notebook out of his pocket. He quickly scribbled something on it, tore off the page and thrust it at me!
“Read This Book!” he said. I took the note, said thanks and left.
Weird Or What?
The next day I went to a local bookstore and ordered the book Ralph had scribbled on the notepad. That book started my fantastic journey into NLP. That book was Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins.
Discovering NLP was like finding the Holy Grail, the Secrets of the Universe, the missing user’s manual for the human brain. I was at first overwhelmed by all the information. What can I do with it? Does it really work? How does it work? So many possibilities…
All my thoughts were about making more sales – making more money. And NLP was the key to my future wealth. I had found the magic elixir.
No one else seemed to know about this amazing brain science and technology, so, I proceeded to tell everyone about it. After a short time, I noticed people avoiding me. I would enter a room, and everyone else would leave. I had become an NLP fanatic, and fanatics scared people.
But I didn’t care if people thought I was fanatical. I always thought different, tried different things, walked a different path. I wasn’t willing to just put up and shut up. There had to be more to life than status quo.
And I was determined to learn everything I could about this neuro linguistic programming stuff or NLP for short. So I started seeking out books, tapes, and people who could teach me.
Finding people to teach me was more difficult than I thought it would be. There were no NLP trainers anywhere near me, and I couldn’t afford to fly off to a big city to take training. And in the early 90’s there was no such thing as streaming video on the internet – I’m not sure there was an internet.
In 1992 I bought an NLP Training audio tape set thinking I would take a live training from the guy who produced it. That inner voice came out loud and clear – it said no.
Finally, In 1993 an NLP Trainer came to town offering a free Friday night seminar as a lead-in for a paid weekend seminar on how to get what you want in life. Wealth was at my fingertips.
Little did I know that this weekend was to bring me wealth in a whole different way.
You see, my father had died when I was 12 and without his support, my mother was forced to go on welfare and move us into the city, downtown by the waterfront. Gangs, drugs and leaving school at 15 was to follow.
Bob Clarke Had An Attitude And An Anger Problem
Well, the Friday night special NLP weekend seminar started by helping everyone get rid of anger. I thought it was kinda lame, but I went along with it. As long as they taught me something to make me more money I was good to go.
I went home after the evening demonstrations looking forward to getting into the good stuff Saturday.
I woke up Saturday morning pumped. Today’s the day I thought. I drank my usual 3 cups of coffee, jumped in the car and tore off toward downtown where the seminar was being held.
About halfway there a car pulled out in front of me causing me to hit the brakes and start screaming at the “woman driver” who caused my problem.
As I followed behind her, I was startled to see something waving to my right. While trying to not take my eyes off the road and car in front of me, I glanced quickly to what caught my attention.
I was not prepared for what I saw.
It was my fist. Connected to my arm. And it was waving as if in anger … but I didn’t feel angry, and it didn’t feel like it was my fist and arm attached to me.
I Was Stunned … And I Mean Stunned!
I kept looking at this arm waving for what seemed like a very long time before I finally lowered it and continued silently to the seminar.
I was racking my brain for an explanation. How could this be happening? I had felt the anger for a brief moment, and then there was nothing but calm … and the crazy waving arm.
The rest of the weekend was a repeat of the Friday night session, only working on different emotions. Emotions I didn’t know I had. Emotions that had been tucked away since I was 12, perhaps younger.
I felt like I had been set free. I had heard of stuff like this before, but I thought it was all too woo-woo for me. And if I had even thought that it was going to be like this I wouldn’t have even bothered to check it out.
Lucky for me I have this great unconscious mind that helps me out.
But what about the wealth benefit of that weekend you may be asking? Because that’s what I originally went for.
Well, I’m Wealthier Than I Ever Expected To Be
But In An Area, I Didn’t Expect To Be
I am in the richest relationship that I never thought possible. The NLP weekend seminar allowed me to break free of the major anger problem I had, and open up to a whole new world I never thought would be possible for me.
Within months of the NLP weekend seminar, I met Ronda, my life partner, and wife. We have been happy together for over 24 years.
And I know this would never have happened had I not gotten into NLP. And as odd as that may sound…wait until you hear about how we met. But that’s another story for another day.
When I first started talking with you remember when I said, “I teach NLP techniques and strategies that can change your life. And I want you to experience & benefit from my knowledge and expertise?”
Well, as a Master NLP Trainer I have put more than 27 years into learning and advancing the art and science of NLP with the sole desire to help people, like you, to create a richer life for themselves. Whether richer means health, money or other to you, it’s really all about you feeling good and being happy, isn’t it?
I know what NLP has done for me, and I know what NLP has done for all the people I have helped over the many years. So it’s an absolute must in my mind to give you every opportunity to experience something just as great in your life.
Because I refuse to be that insurance salesman who gave up on my family and didn’t persist in selling them a life insurance plan that would have protected my mother when my father died.
And I refuse to be that NLP Trainer that lets you slip into the arms of waiting internet marketers selling what they call NLP Training and it’s a ripoff.
I refuse to say bad things about other NLP Trainers, but what I will say is just be careful, they are not all that they pretend to be.
Before I got into NLP, no one ever told me directly how much I had changed their life, not even when they bought a home through me in real estate.
But I’ve had many people tell me how I have changed their life since getting into NLP.
I consider myself truly blessed on many levels. NLP has enriched my life way beyond my original expectations …
How much will you allow it to enrich your life?
P.S. Ronda and I created a video course called Maximize Your Life Potential Video Program modeled after that weekend that made all this possible. We added to it and put it in our own style of training to make it special. Go ahead and check it out.
